IT'S A GREAT DAY!
IT'S A PERFECT DAY! After a tough, horrible day at work, IT'S turned out to be a A WONDERFUL DAY! WHY????
Because it has arrived!! Yes, the new PE album has literally JUST arrived at my door!!
I am totally blown away with this album. This is total class once again!! In true PE form, the album is a classic from the beginning to the end. Actually, in true PE form there are NO DUD (meaning rubbish or crap) TRACKS on the CD! Every track is a winner and thats the truth!! The album is like fine wine. It is truly splendid!
Wonderful female vocals, which is quite different for PE, on 'Poppin' all my life.' Loving the old skool funk/disco sound on this track. 'Screwed' is some serious funk with a heavy bass line and a fantastic electric guitar. 'Inspiration' is a definite club tune, definite boogie tune. You have to get your Spats (shoes) out for this one as some serious foot shuffling is what will be going on here!! 'Passin' phase' has got a 70's soul sound of which I love. 'Burning hot' is pure FIRE!! This tune is blazing hot!!! 'I need you' is a murderous tune with great vocals! 'Girl of my dreams' is beautiful yet BAD (meaning great/wicked!) 'Tonight tonight' is amazing! 'Soul parade' has impressive vocals and a fabulous arrangement.
This is yet another splendid CD where Sir Peven Everett is at his very best once again. He is definitely a master at work! It is incredible as the talent, the gift he has is...I am lost to find the appropriate words right now. Sorry. Only the visions, the colours and pictures in my head can paint the picture more accurately - I can't even find the right words to express what I am experiencing right about now. If you are into jazz/funk/fusion/soul/house, it is a MUST buy because it is all of these things, yet more. And I have got MINE so you ought to get YOURS so you can get on board the PE Experience.
All I am left to say is ALL BOW DOWN AND PRAISE HIS NAME because we have a god right here on earth, and his name is PEVEN EVERETT. We don't have to look outside of ourselves to find god, as we just need to recognise that there are gods walking among us, and he is one!!

From the snippets this sounds like an awesome project; timeless quality and inspirational too.
So far 'Soul Heavy', 'Don't Give Up On Love' and a few others have caught my attention.
I look forward to the day you do a full on gospel album covering many genres, as long as it's the Word of God and Holy Ghost inspired I'm sure that will get you some other well deserved fans.
