PEVEN EVERETT NOT BOOKED IN LONDON 1/15

Update:
We have heard from the promoter who apologetically told us that he is featuring the music of Peven Everett.
Regardless his promo was misleading and illegal.
Peven Everett's name is not subject for public use and promotions unrelated to his career and without permission.
Studio Confession seeks only honest as well as fair business.
Peven will be coming out to the UK soon so stay tuned to Http://Peveneverett.net
Update 2
In response to the promoters comment.
Defamation is when someone damages your reputation based on false hoods.
The truth has not been misrepresented
What is defamatory is that you are claiming that you have ever made contact directly with Peven.
This blog is maintained by the label for Peven. (unless the post is signed by him)
You affiliated your name and your livelyhood to Peven's name without asking and basically it looked as though Peven would be attending your event.
We wouldn't even be having this issue if you had done your business correctly.
You are going to be at the event use your name to draw people or does your name not draw people.
Don't come into Studio Confession's realm spewing bully mentality.
We have the right to represent accurate facts based on the careers of all the artists housed on this label.
It is our duty to make sure that if anyone had seen your posts that we were not liable for our absence or further inquiry regarding that particular date etc.
Im sorry as though you feel slandered ever action has an effect.
We are protecting our lively hood and our reputation.

Firstly, I would like to wish one and all, all the best for 2010! I hope your event in New York on New Year's Day was a great success as it must have been the 'Party of the Year.' Nuff people must have been 'Kicking up dust' on the dance floor!

Now lets get down to business. Lucky for me,I did not hear about this dubious rave and just as well because if they were promoting a Peven Everett event, and I went, I probably would have ended up fighting the promoters because to have high expectations to then feel like a deflated balloon would be too much to cope with so I thank you for clarifying this matter!

However, with that being said, I visit this site daily so I think I would have got suspicious if you ladies and gents were not advertising this event here, so shame on those so called promoters. They knew exactly what they were doing. Anyway, how could they have a night featuring the music of Sir Peven Everett and not have me Dj on the night? Come on now! That ain't right!

Have a good day!

Dear Peven & readers - we refute what Peven has currently posted on this blog - it contains Defamation, Liable & Insinuation whch Peven cannot prove & we refute what Peven has posted.

We are very saddened that an artist we have supported since the start of his career would take such negative & bad willed actions those who have supported his music for so long.

Our previous response was removed by Peven - once again - we refute what he has currently posted.
To re-itterate - we have at no point claimed Peven would be performing live or even attending any of our events.

To the above poster "MX" - you mention violence as a potential action of yours at events - please note - anyone who thinks unprovoked violence is a good thing at events is NOT welcome at our events.

We are about good music, good vibes & good spirit - on principle attendees, artists, DJs we feel bring bad intent or bad spirit to our events are not welcome - so thanks for saving us both time in not attending our events MX.

Peven - please do the right thing & remove this liable which you cannot prove - thank you.

Yours in mutual support, music & progress,

KTF Events

The usage of the word 'fight' in my previous comment was not used literally, but as a word to encompass the feeling and disappointment of being promised something, or having an expectation, to then be let down.

It's a sad day.

R.I.P Sir Teddy Pendergrass. Yet another gifted artist taken away from us. I remember my dad playing his songs when I was a young child and to this day, he still remains one of my favourite vocalists that influenced so many who came after him (Jaheim/Christopher Williams/K-Ci etc). The passion and strength of his vocals is truly amazing and I will miss him so much. He was a gift to our parents and to our generation. The gods are welcoming home yet another god. I am going to pull out all of my albums etc and enjoy listening to Sir Teddy Pendergrass tonight. Another god taken away from us too soon.
